Richard Donner has passed away at 91, The director of movies like The Omen, The Goonies, Lethal Weapon and, of course, Superman, it's safe to say he shaped a LOT of our childhoods, and the perceptions of action, horror and superhero movies in particular over the past forty years.
The US has pulled completely out of Afghanistan after nearly twenty years.In the UK, the Prime Minister announced that England is, essentially, going back to a pre-pandemic state (in terms of masks no longer being required, but recommended in certain situations, social distancing being removed) as of 19th July. This has been, as you might imagine, greeting with mixed reactions. Even those who are endorsing the move agree it's a gamble. Infections are still on the increase, though serious cases of covid and death are much, much lower than they were thank to vaccinations.
