So, Marvel is currently running a series revisiting the setting of 'Planet Hulk', that big story from some seventeen years ago, where the Hulk was enslaved on the planet Sakaar by the Red King, a tyrant whose rule was enforced by an army of mechanoids known as Death's Heads.
The Death's Heads were a mystery. They shared the name of the universe's greatest freelance peacekeeping agent, but had no personality of their own, and not even much of a visual link - that gasmask mouth ruins the whole 'skull-face' look.
So why were they called Death's Heads? Well, in their concurrent anthology series 'Amazing Fantasy', Marvel did allow original Death's Head creator Simon Furman to tell a story featuring one of the DH units, maybe giving a little backstory, tying things together?
