Talk about non-comics stuff, thread derail, and just generally chat among yourselves.
The intent of these posts is to chat and have some fun and, sure, vent a little as required. Reasoned debate is fine, as always, but if you have to ask if something is going over the line, think carefully before posting please.
Normal board rules about conduct and behaviour still apply, of course.
It's been suggested that, if discussing spoilers for recent media events, it might be advisable to consider using the rot13 method to prevent other members seeing spoilers in passing.
The world situation is the world situation. If you're following the news, you know it as much as I do, if you're not, then there are better sources than scans_daily. But please, no doomscrolling, for your own sake.
POTUS 47 managed to piss off two religious beliefs, once by posting (on the official White House account) an AI photo of himself as the Pope and then on May 4th posting another AI image of himself with a lightsabre. Though, as he was holding a RED lightsabre, I wonder if this was the equivlaent of a call for help from whichever person has to post things on the White House account). However, if you need a boost, just google "Trump loses court case" and see how many results you get, it's quite refreshing.
The Met Gala took place, with it's usual array of extravagant fashions, this year with the theme of "Black Dandyism". I have no idea who more than half of those people actually are, but I am old and British.
Doctor Who had another excellent episode, this season's Doctor-lite one, as we focussed on what Ruby Sunday has been up to since she stopped travelling in the TARDIS. Subtle? no, but effective. Remember though, rot13 spoilers.
