Agreed. I was quite impressed. It helped that he invented whole new scenes, fleshed out backstory, and completely changed the cause of Two-Face's death.

That's actually standard for novelizations, so people don't learn the actual ending.

Is it? In all the novelizations I've read, the ending was the same as the film. And so it was in BATMAN FOREVER too, with the only thing being altered a bit was Two-Face.

Sometimes it's not a big change, sometimes someone says not to change a thing. I don't understand the reasoning.
