Women of Marvel, featuring TITS

I commented on NSD earlier about Marvel's Year of Women. Part of that includes the two part Women of Marvel series, collecting stories previously published on Marvel.com

The cover's got its stars in burlesque gear and inside... it's got tits.




Uhhh... a pinup? By Greg Land? Why not just pay the strippers to wear the costumes themselves?

And then Black Cat's tits fight the tits of Satan's Daughter.




I'll probably give this one a miss.

Though I will say that the Enchantress does do rather well out of these Marvel women stories. I've not seen her in continuity much, but this year, she's been dotted around in lots of different places.

This is from the collected volume? Because that was solicited with the Greg Land art on the cover. If it's been relegated to the inside and a new cover put in place, that might actually be progress (barely). If not and that crap's still on the cover... Depressing.

This is the cover now. Um. I mean, it's Sara Pichelli and Christina Strain, so at least it's nicely drawn.

My god, it's the MU production of Mein Herr (or possibly this little number from Popular's "That Burning Sensation" )

Ah, so this if from the floppy version. The collected version will still have the Land cover.

I don't know what either cover is trying to tell me, to be honest. They both make it look like the book's some kind of 90s Swimsuit Issue pinups over an anthology highlighting the female characters as characters, not simply cheesecake.

I actually like this cover it's tastefully sexy although I think it fits better an art book than a story (unless they do the Mouling Rougue or some cabaret thing in the story).
