After his defeat, Epoch tries to skedaddle using a damaged time travel device. The following's narrated by someone from the 853rd century.

Brane Taylor is the Batman of the 31st Century. He was used in one of those insane '50s sci-fi Batman stories, where Batman and Robin are shown a future version of the dynamic duo stopping a robot invasion. Recently, Morrison used them in Batman #700 as one of the series of Batmen and Robins that show up across the time-line, showing that Batman & Robin will never die.

The Batman of the year 3000 AD! Brane! For in the future, they have streamlined their names as they have their cars! His name is a streamlined version of his 20th ancestor, Bruce Wayne!

Also interesting to point out that the Super Sons seems to be Damian Wayne (a little of a duh, appearing as he did in Batman 666 and 700) and Superboy/Conner grown up, now sporting a #2 on his chest, or as DC One Million makes mention of him as Superman Secundus, the progenitor of the Superman Dynasty which stretches to the 853rd century with Kal Kent.

I think the "2" indicates he's the Second Superman referenced at the end of All Star Superman. ;)

Someday, I'm gonna do a riff on the whole Bats/Supes "dynasty" thing with Diana. Only, in each century it'll still be her cause she's, you know, immortal. I find the scenario terribly amusing for reasons I can't even specify.

25th Century: Okay, look, I beat up Zoom and that took awhile but this is getting annoying now.
30th Century: Maybe I should let those kids beat you up this time?

Granted, it's out-of-continuity, but in the midst of Morrison's grand Superman narrative spanding across his work with the character, it was revealed that the Unknown Superman was actually Clark in All-Star Superman.

Supes may have used a lot of SCIENCE! to device a way to get past the barrier, but all it really boiled do to was using heat vision right? I'm imagining a dumber Supes would have also been able to make it by just going "Well, maybe if I were to use my heat vision really hard"

Well, Superman 2's only been glimpsed and mentioned before, and Batsman is totally new. I'll leave the rest up to an expert.

Enough with the "Batman's Son" crap, DICK is Batman's son (and was Batman), TIM is Batman's son, CASS is... well, close enough. Damian just happens to be a son who is biologically related to him.
