The Boys 51
Mar. 18th, 2011 10:36 amI'll be honest. My interest in this title has been waning lately ever since the fallout between Hughie and Butcher. But based on this issue's involvement with Vought American, I think Garth Ennis is about to bring things to a head. Which, if you ask me, has been a long time in coming.
What you need to know is that Vought American is pretty much tired with the Seven's antics, and the newest member, Ms. Bradley, wonders what would happen if Vought American just stood out of harm's way and let the Seven and the Boys have a go at each other. The results follow.

Ms. Bradley's final words are intriguing. How exactly will she get the percentage up to 100% wherein both sides are wiped out? Still, it's pretty telling that even in a simulation, the Boys get their asses handed to them by the Seven. I see a Hitman type ending in the works for the Boys, if I know my Garth Ennis. And I think I do.

Butcher is clearly becoming obsessed in a bad way. I like these psychological aftershocks of indulging in violence.
Homelander’s being humanized (mirror scene). Knowing Ennis, that means he’ll probably suffer some horrible death soon.
