After reading the rest of the preview my only possible conclusion is that the group of the alternate-Reed's is just about to lose one of their own. To certain values of pain which I dare not imagine once Susan counter-attacks.

Of course once Susan gets near our-Reed and asks him who/why those guys are over there(she doesn't know yet, right?) both he and Valeria might wish to run to the other side of the galaxy...

I'll read the books when the HBO series is done. Reading the books first will make you hate the adaptations, and I don't want to spoil it for myself.

Agreed. I imagined a much younger Oded Ferh with Monogolian desert-style wardrobe, but with darker Eurasian eyes (not from make up) for Kahl Drogo.

I remember some Persian poem talking about people of the desert, who survive the blazing of the sun by keeping the seducing the starlight night into their eyes to keep them cool inside.

My mind sucks for visual imagination! I’m a bookworm since forever, but I cannot for the hell of me imagine faces from author’s descriptions. I end up taking upon a mental repertoire/cast of actors and comics/manga faces to picture the scenes. So I like watchiing adaptations first, and even more because adaptation decay usually bothers me a lot, like turtlefu says (though in the specific case of GoT the adaptation was unusually good).

I kind of suck at visual imagination as well, so i can understand that; but despite that I hate it when a movie adaptation becomes the face in my minds anyway (I don't mind comics/manga/animation so much otoh). Of course with ASOIAF, I've been in the fandom for so long, I actually did end up pondering what most characters look like anyway, and some of the Tv show design kind of annoy me. Like Loras Tyrell being a pretty boy = blond guy; whereas in the book he's brown haired and I picture him with the most adorable head of chestnut curls :3

I suppose that the Reed who loves Brunettes is just some seconds away from knowing the fury of Susan Storm-Richards. She might have been injured but, now that she knows that ain't her Reed, she will not hold back any longer. That icy wasteland is a fitting place for him to be fridged.
