As the big strike on the Batman and his family nears, a few characters decide to take care of the important things in life before they go out on that big strike.



Innocents seems to have been hiding in the warehouse where Bane set up his trap. And the newest member they drafted into the scrap against the Bat turns on them, signalling EVERYONE of the DC heroes.

*Here is where making this post became hard. What do you choose with great scene after great scene in each page? I decided to go with the character moments. Because this is why we read the books. The great characters.

Huntress makes a trade of herself vs. the homeless hostage family, and the team realizes just how much trouble they are in when the full might of the JLA, the JSA, the Bat-family and clan Superman show up.



The tension within the team grows, as they decide their options, none of them good.
No one is going to walk away from this.



The final charge of the Secret Six deserves to be read on your own. It's the end the team deserves.

As for the ending, I assume that they get their butts handed to them in under thirty seconds and tossed in jail, yes?

They should have all transformed into a Voltron like super robot and killed half the JLA. Now that would be an ending to remember.

Huntress narrates the fight and really, the whole thing is just heartbreaking.

Surprise! Polygamy! isn't the issue, so much as "I want you two people who have never met to be in a life long relationship with each other."

It could work out, but there really ought to be a trial period so that Knockout and Liana might get a chance to talk to each other.

As much as I love Scandal, the resolution to that setup is such rubbish. Knockout I could understand not having a problem with the idea, but I couldn't see Liana, as a normal person outside the weirdness if the Six, going for it.

And the way everyone gushes over it in the next panel is just sad.

As Runespoor said above, placing 'normal' in opposition to 'polyamorous/polygamist' is perhaps not something that's going to make our poly members feel welcome or respected.

I appreciate that it's not a commonly known lifestyle, but "normal" is a heavy word.

Threesomes, for all the glory they get in mainstream media, are wicked hard to pull off in real life. In my experience, it's logistically awkward, one person always ends up getting more attention than the other two, and that makes it hard for the center of attention person to reciprocate properly.


I'd imagine it be easier if the three people were in a relationship, but this still seems like there's a lot of stuff they need to work out beforehand. We don't even know if Liana and Knockout like each other that well. There's just so much that can go wrong in this scenario...

Liana never said "yes" to the proposal (although her smile kind of kind of gave away her opinion of the idea.)

On the flip side, having been in relationships with strippers, they are exposed to such extraordinary relationships that this lesbian bigamy does not come off as uncommon.

Huntress's narration was my favourite part. "We always win. Because we're heroes. Damn us all to hell." That line could never have worked coming from someone who hasn't seen both sides of the fight, and doesn't have Helena's secret, guilty, reflexive empathy for everyone - even the people who don't deserve it.
