This is something about Flashpoint -- and the character of Professor Zoom (who I generally do like) -- that's been bugging me. Zoom can go back in time, and seems to be able to truly change things... so why has he not gone back and saved his ex-wife's father (and own damaged knee) from the clown he erroneously profiled? Or stop his own serial killer father?

Because this is a different Zoom. This one is Eobard Thawne, the original Prof. Zoom from the future.
