Why not just do what I did [img src = "the url of the big picture"] to get your pictures up big size? It's your picture that I'm showing in my first comment.

Just remember to use pointy brackets instead of square ones.

Actually having her comment on how cliché it is, really does bugger all to improve the tediously obvious fridgie-ness of the moment.

It's not cynicism, just tiredness that comes from yet another woman dying so that the man can be a hero.

You know what this reminds me of? Superman: The Movie, where he finds out Lois died while stopping all of Luthor's missiles. He's shocked, horrified...and he flies away to change the course of human history so that she can live.

That's rather clever.

Silly as that was I love that moment for the simple refusal of reality. He's the goddam Superman! No way he's going to let something as silly as a missile or time take Lois freakin' Lane away from him!

Bonus points if Flashpoint ends when Clark flies around the world really fast.

The moment itself wasn't silly, the execution was. The utter denial and rage were a splendid portrayel of the human, emotional side of Superman, the 'sleeping giant' syndrome.

But I suppose they couldn't end that movie with Superman throwing Lex Luthor into the sun.

I also think his reaction sells it for me--it's a silly way to fix things, but when you see the pain on his face, you're right with him wanting him to set things right.

I'm sure he's going to be with the entire "Justice League" of the Flashpoint Universe trying to fix the universe into what we'll see in the New 52.
