Uncanny X-Force #16 - Dark Angel Saga continues

ComicBookResources has the preview of Uncany X-Force #16, the Dark Angel Saga, as things go from pretty bad right now to definitely a lot worse.






Seriously, I thought that this character was out of the picture, and "out of play". He took all that he did just to lure X-Force close enough so no escape was possible? You're one tough nut, Famine.

I am genuinely surprised by the quality of art, writing and cohesion this entire story has delivered. In my opinion this is one of the strongest X-titles running, and one of their best stories yet.

Bio-Auditory Cancer... wtf is that.... i don't even get how his powers work... how is that related to FAMINE?

Ehh. It's superhero comics.

His rhythms consume nutrients from living things, as it says right there on the page. So when a regular cancer converts healthy cells and develops within the body, I imagine he infects people or causes them to develop cancerous cells from hearing him.

Plus, famine is the destruction of a crop at the hands of an invasive force, by one definition. His powers are like locusts, feeding on things around them at the cost of lives. He makes a noise, kills what hears it with cancerous cells, and draws energy from it. At least, that's how I understand it..

Yeah I really would have made this guy into Death, the woman who is a living hive of bugs into Famine, and the guy who created different diseases depending on the type of metal he touched into Pestilence

Yup, those are the more obvious choices so it's really really weird that they didn't go with them...

Someone explain to me why a black-ops team that wears special uniforms so they won't get recognized still wears the company logo. Talk about defeating the purpose!

They get their uniforms designed by the people who do the ones for Cerberus in the Mass Effect universe apparently.

In that case shouldn't the logo be on the outside of the sword-hilt protector, like the samurai's "something beautiful to look at as you die"?

It's not as bad as Secret War (singular), in which Fury put together a black ops team of Daisy Johnson, Captain America, Daredevil, Wolverine, Spider-Man and Luke Cage to make an illegal strike on Latveria ... and outfitted all the heroes in slightly darker variants of their usual costumes.

Not a great mini but I liked the sourcebook that was put out with it. Fury talking about different characters was cool.

Yeah, that was neat. And the costumes weren't terrible (I've seen some great Secret War Spider-Man cosplay), they just didn't make any sense in context.

Me too! Last con I was at I took a picture with five different Spideys and one of them was the Secret War Spidey.

So... Why is Dethlok there? Is it the Dethlok? Is he a permanent member? Because its weird to me, and I don't really like him there.
