I don't think I like this take on Astra and Joseph. Whilst retconning in another founding member of the Brotherhood was sort of okay, I liked that IIRC she left on a point of principle, and resented Magneto, but not in a borderline psychotic way, he annoyed the hell out of her and she saw no reason to stay, and left to pursue a rather dilletante lifestyle around the galaxy (the joys of galactic distance teleportation as a power)
Her grand revenge plan against Magnus wasn't even a particularly grand one. As she said herself when it was all wiped out "You've ruined yea... WEEKS of careful planning" which was refreshingly honest.
She was also an older woman, a contemporary of Magnus and Charles, and whilst her getting some sort of a makeover from her purchased alien tech is not really unexpected, it's a little too easy to make her a young and nubile. Plus Joseph was HER puppet, not the other way around, so I'm not a fan of her lolling at his feet like they're re-enacting Leia and Jabba.
And if we believe Apocalypse (okay, not exactly a reliable sorce, but Mags didn't really object to the statement), she wasn't even really behind Joseph. As Mags had dealt with her prior in such a way that, well, it sounded terminal to me.
