And I had no idea McDuffie wrote these series. I loved them when I read them and even planned a few Damage Control posts ages ago, before we moved here.
Looking it up, it seems it's ascribed to Robert Heinlein (though misassigned to the name Robert Hanlons). Details here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanlon%27s_razor)
I think the coolest part of all this is discovering that Doom employs Damage Control on a em-regular basis. Sure he's a super-villain whose plans often destroy sizable chunks of Manhattan, but he's responsible about it.
BTW This seems to be set so it screens all replies, so no one who isn't the original poster can see any of them until they're manually okay by you. You might want to alter the screening setting.
Um, for some reason you appear to have set all comments to this entry be screened. Is this intentional or by accident? We don't have any set rule on this, but I am curious.
Okay, since I've had no response I'll just assume that the comments being screened was an accident and I will unscreen the comments left here. If you have any concerns please let me or the other moderators know.
No worries. In future when you're creating a post or editing a post, there is a section at the bottom where it says "Comment screening:" and it gives you several options. If you just leave it as "Journal Default" it won't screen comments.
Actually, I see the Bank of Latveria having a fairly... limited selection of cheque styles - Reed Richards being beheaded, Reed Richards being burned at the stake, Reed Richards being put through the taffy-puller from hell, Reed Richards being torn apart by ravenous wolves... All done in flicker-book style, possibly in 3D! :)

We need more.
Well Doom is a man of honor.

He saw a chance to screw with them. It amused Doom greatly.
