It's still pretty much Thursday, right? (I know it's cool to post fancomics on other days, but still.)

I just wanted to do a thing with teen Peter and kid versions of some of the sidekicks he's had over the years. We've got (from left to right in the second panel): Alpha, then Arana/Spider-Girl, The Spectacular Spider-Kid/Steel Spider, the Fabulous Frog Man and of course, Venom. I'm sure I'm missing some, so feel free to fill me in. (I was gonna put Miles in, but he's not really a side-kick. He's his own hero.)
I would've put Steve and Tony and backgrounds in this, but I sorta don't like spending a lot of time on Super Family stuff. Sorry.

So, Marvel is doing an event in which they kill off all of the extra characters they accumulated during Avengers Academy. I'm pretty much just reminded of how quickly they shaved down the cast once Academy X ended. I don't have high hopes for a lot of these kids making it out alive.

There've been a lot of explanations for Power Girl's boob window over the years.
I just came up with a new one.
(A rejected name for this power was the Cleavage Cannon.)
So, that's about it. Hope you enjoyed that. Until next time.

Date: 2012-11-02 04:16 am (UTC)I've actually had some ideas about Spidey's various sidekicks and proteges. Ideally I think, were their ever to be another MC2-style experiment these characters would have grown into a proper group of superheroes defending Manhattan. I actually did some character designs for Steel Spider, and am deeply ashamed of myself for doing so. Sadly, characters like this never actually get to grow into proper heroes so they'll be stuck in forgotten sidekick limbo forever it seems. Damn did I have a good concept for these little buggers though.
