Supergirl is dead—Long live Supergirl! Or so it seems as the strange connection between the Karas has Power Girl becoming Supergirl again.

Date: 2013-02-09 10:16 pm (UTC)Seriously, though, I've been looking forward to these two meeting for a while. Though I can't imagine it ending well, with Supergirl screaming "CLONE!" and punching and kicking and heat-visioning Peej's costume off.

Date: 2013-02-10 03:11 am (UTC)We obviously have a profoundly different idea of "ending well."

Date: 2013-02-10 05:17 pm (UTC)Peej's face is "grr" (albeit a bland prettified grr that leaves no wrinkles in the forehead or lines around he mouth) but there's no tension in her arms and shoulders. Her arms are supposedly holding up SG's body, but they don't LOOK like they're holding up anything, they look like they're just placed there. SG looks like she's holding herself up on her elbows, thrusting upwards.
She's sitting straight upright, not leaning forward at all, either in challenge to us the viewer (who, judging from her kinda-expression, are filling in for something she is mad at) or in protectiveness over Kara. Her body is just WAY too damn relaxed.
Peej's left knee is way the hell away over there, I don't know where her right knee is behind the cape (and holy crap that is a f**kton of cape). Possibly she's been drawn in the process of gently laying SG on the ground shortly before kicking someone's ass for this, but the pose isn't quite reading that way, possibly because of the too-upright spine. If she's cradling SG in her lap, her knees need to be over here to MAKE a lap.
Just... yeah. There's no emotion in this scene whatsoever. It's just been completely drained of any intensity, pathos, or urgency by the poor body positioning.
