Over a storyline spanning several issues, it's revealed that Maxwell Lord has been taking over Superman's mind (it took him several years to achieve that). The result has made Superman highly suggestive, which ends with Clark taking out the whole Justice League sans-Wonder Woman. The actual story isn't that great but the climax is rather amazing. The following pages only show half of the WWvsSupes fight.

We all know what Wonder Woman did next. Damn page limits =(

Then they work on an alternate solution, make it more official than having Diana be Judge, Jury and Executioner etc. Who is to say it isn't deemed he deserves the death penalty etc? Why are some people so hellbent on having DIana do the murder immediatly, when there is no rush, instead of, you know... Justice and all that crap? WHY is it so important that Wonder Woman, after about five seconds thought, elevate herself above justice, democracy, freedom etc? As noted, they'll have time to think it through.
The rest of your reply is also... based on far too many assumptions on your part; it's too straw-manny.
