 So Negan tells Rick that he can't wait to see his reaction to what he did to Carl. Rick doesn't take it too well and the two fight for a little bit.









Talk about your bait and switch, but I'm just happy Carl's safe for now.

I doubt it given how toned down the show is. Rick hasn't even lost his hand.

A convincing missing hand is expensive, and the network needs all the extra funding they get to give to Mad Men and the like instead (no really, they were paid money by the State of the Georgia to film the series there and rather than spend it on the show they cut their budget and gave the donated money to their other shows instead).

Alright, bad example.

90% of anything remotely messed up from from the comic -- the Governor's rape of Michonne and subsequent torture from her, Lori and the baby getting blown away with a shotgun, Carl being the one to kill Shane, the serial killer at the prison, etc has either been watered down or removed completely.

They have no problem with zombie-related violence but everything else the showrunners have gotten squeamish.

I'll be extremely surprised if the show follows Carl's character arc at all. They haven't even introduced the twins so we probably won't have one of them one kill the other and be shot by Carl in turn. I'm not expecting them to show him getting a chunk of his face blown off with a stray bullet.

I remember in an interview Kirkman said his biggest regret in the comics was cutting off Rick's hand because it limited a lot of things he could do in certain plots so he doesn't want Rick to lose his hand in the show.

Negan's a cut above the gang he runs, but that doesn't change the fact that the Saviours are a group of misanthropic, kill-happy thugs who aren't ashamed of menacing every single human they come across.

Nicely complicated, though. It's almost too tense right now. I honestly have no idea how this is going to play out.

I love it when the bad guys do the whole, "I don't LIKE doing the things I do, but I HAVE to do them because reasons". Yeah, okay honey, you keep telling yourself that. Always makes me think of an abusive boyfriend. "You know I don't like hitting you baby, but you just make me so angry sometimes".

before, Negan's use of colorful language was funny as a gimmick, but now with his f-bomb's every second its getting annoying to read.
