I hate the art, but I love the dialogue.

I'm not even big on Morrison's dialogue at times, but so much agreement on the art. I know Burnham was likely hand-picked by Morrison himself, but.. Seriously. It does make the book look like the ugly duckling of the Batman books, especially compared to Gleason and Capullo, frankly.

Morrison also believes that Rags Morales is a genius(see: SUPERGODS) so that's enough proof that he has a tin eye for artwork on his books. What he seems to value most is merely the artist following his direction, not any qualities the art has itself.

Myself, every time I look at an issue of ACTION I pray I'll open it and see Gene Ha, but instead I get Morales, whose work is both boring and awkward at the same time.

I liked Morales on parts of Identity Crisis - the art was, IMO, the only good thing about that POS - he did a really lovely Sue Dibny, for instance, but yeah, he's never quite clicked on Action Comics, to me. But then with a few exceptions (JHW3, Quitely, Stewart), I don't think the art's been that amazing across most of his Batman tenure either.

Actually, my dislike of him goes back to IDENTITY CRISIS, a book I despise from bottom to top. That was where I first noticed how awkward and stiff his faces are. Also, you do not crosshatch on eyeballs.
