AND WAIT is there speculation that it is Wally? I haven't been following Flash because Barry puts me to sleep and I hold a major grudge, and I likewise haven't been keeping up on the story progression. But have there been any clues/hints? Or is it just idle speculation?
No idea if there is speculation over Wally being Reverse Flash, but it's been my personal theory for about a year that he'd wind up becoming the Reverse Flash, having realised that he's had his marriage, children & place in the Flash legacy erased from history because of Barry.
The only hints have been Daniel West, brother of Iris, suddenly appearing in the series since the zero issue, but that's not really hinting towards Wally & there's been no reference to if he's Wally's father or uncle. Hell, we still don't have any answers as to Bart's relation to Barry in the DCnU, since they've still not interacted.
Considering what they've left as clues, it's probably a character Manapul and Buccalato created named Dr. Darwin Elias, a scientific genius who started out as someone who helped Flash (he helped him figure out the Speed Force and some of the problems that might happen if he went too fast) but then ended up leading the crusade against the Flash after everything that went on in the run, turning the public against him.
Also, I'm gonna say it here--I like Barry in this series more than I liked Wally in what I've read of his solo series. *insert "come at me bro" meme here*
"Since the lines are working with his volume and form, it looks rather nice."
It's interesting, I remember recently Brett Booth talked about this on his blog when showing off the designs he did for the New 52 Doctor Fate, talking about just because superhero costumes started out being simple and without ornate details, it doesn't mean they HAVE to stay that way, which I think is a really true point.
I like how the ear pieces are pointed up. It's another nice touch on the whole reverse thing. Otherwise, it's in an interesting image with all that negative speed force around him. I just hope the costume is still yellow and red, like it's supposed to be.
