It never fails to surprise and amuse me that writers that I can't stand on certain titles (*coughX-Mencough*) can be so much fun on other titles.

Allred's knocking it out of the park, too. I think this is the best Jen's looked in a long time.

Yes. I love superheroines with muscles anyway, but that and her body language and she's so beautiful, it's perfect.
Now I want Allred to draw Wonder Woman, that would be amazing.

Also, I love Wyatt and Jen together. It was my favorite comics couples as a small kid (although I wanted Booster or Beetle to date Fire.). I hope Fraction brings them back to coupledom.

It's cute, it's funny, but one thing continues to bug me: WHY IS BENTLEY TRYING TO BE A SUPER-VILLAIN NOW?! Seriously, that is pretty much the exact opposite of how Hickman wrote Bentley. The last person who tried to imply Bentley was going to become one, he told the person to get bent and kicked him in the nards.

That annoyed me as well, I mean didn't Bentley reject his "father's" legacy in like, the last issue or so of Hickman's FF? It seems weird that Fraction would contradict that so soon after the fact. I wonder if it's just Fraction deciding this is more fun or if he legitimately didn't do the due diligence on this one, in which case I feel like this fit of characterization still should have been on a character bible or whatever when they gave him the title.

I also wonder if maybe there's a whole lot of weird mind-control or forced allegiances going, because as I recall, the Moloids are being coerced to report the FF's activities to the Moleman, and in this issue it ends with Medusa whispering some secrety plans to Bentley...

The Moloids were closing a deal with the Mole Man. There were giving him a device in exchange for him siccing that monsters on the FF back in issue #2, which they wanted because the common threat would bond the new team. As Fraction put it, they were being Ozymandias.

I thought he was just playing? I mean, it's not like he's actually mass-murdering people or whatever.

I think this is just Bentley expressing youthful rebellion, and using the super-villain references just to be contrary. (:

Amazing how the writer of the awful Fear Itself can write something this funny, endearing and intelligent.

I'm glad she's looking more hulkish too. Only now I'm disturbingly curious about these two characters' intimate relations. Because Wyatt seems fairly muscular. And that's a whole lot of rippling muscles gripping and groping. Which seems like wrestling. Which seems kind of violent.
