Don't you get Golden Age Superman Energy by a combination of eugenics and growing up in high gravity? He should be telling kids to wear weighted clothing to bed and never mate with their inferiors.
Hmm. I remember doing the parallel bars in grade school P.E. (circa 1975-1977) I don't think it was any more dangerous than climbing to the top of the monkey bars when I was a younger lad. Heck, you at least had adult supervision in the gymnasium.
Maybe. I know if I even tried anything like this now, I'd likely give myself a lifetime injury. Back then, it would have been bumps and bruises if something went wrong.
It's ordinary gymnastics. It was in the 1930's and it still is now. Of course, no one should use gymnastics equipment if they're not trained and don't have proper supervision -- but I'd say Superman would be an okay spotter. :-)
Good tips from Superman. He didn't have to pry kids away from computers, laptops, ipods, tablets or fast food, either!
Kind of sad that the NFL has to go around with a 'Play 60' program. Going to sound old and crotchetdy here, but when my sister and I grew up we played outside in the summer from early morning to suppertime and after. We watched a kiddie show in the morning for a half hour while we ate breakfast and then watched about an hour of TV before we went to bed. My parents were smart cookies. They didn't ban TV watching and since we could watch it whenever we wanted, we weren't lured by forbidden fruit and watched very little when we weren't in school. Though Saturday mornings, the TV was ours! ;)
Go Diana, really? "Can't is a word I don't understand," combined with pushing people around because they're weaker than you is something we're in favor of at Scans Daily now?
The Mr. Googins in question is one of the story's primary villains, so I'm fine with her pushing his flunky around. Superhero etiquette permits rudeness to henchmen.
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
