Injustice: Gods Among Us #33

Batman's disastrous assault on Superman's fortress comes to a brutal end. As last issue when Superman and Captain Atom was fighting. Part of the fortress ceiling ice came crushing down dividing the team. Ollie got stuck on one side of the fortress with Clark's parents.
Ollie uses his head to make Clark not think straight so he could send a arrow with a hidden superhuman pill tape on through a opening in the fortress. Batman and team find the arrow. Batman tells Black canary they will wait for him, but she knows that Ollie is already dead.

And their initial attack had nothing to do with Superman; they were trying to a sink a whaling ship. Wonder Woman tried reasoning with them, one of the Atlanteans attacked her, and things escalated from there.

Date: 2013-08-27 09:21 pm (UTC)The pages you linked to clarify, but I don't think they help a lot counterargument wise.
It's clear from the pages that Aquaman, who is king of his independent city state, has rejected Superman's self-assumed authority to tell him what to do, and that is the reason that Wonder Woman and the JLA have come to see him, because Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Shazam and Hawk... person (sorry, I can't make out is it's Hawkman or Hawkwoman) is serious overkill for a shipping incident
Wonder Woman's "reasoning" there would have been somewhat more convincng if it hadn't been followed by her "SHUT UP! I am so sick of talking" line, which suggests she was all but looking for an excuse to escalate the fight.
Yes, she has just been shot by a nervous soldier, but not enough to more than slightly inconvenience her, if she was genuinely seeking a peaceful solution then she would have understood that that was a misunderstanding, not a declaration of war (though Injustice Wonder Woman seems seriously more miitant than her mainstream version)
I still hold that Superman has been acting as a dictator for many issues now. from the moment he usurped the authority of democratically elected officials because he didn't agree with them.
