You are a very mean person. I now see Squall instead of Klarion and that Teakle is the fur lining to his coat. Also am I the only one to see that group and really feel bad for the bad guy? I mean Ragman... his power his HORRIFYING, and Klarion (dum dum dum) The Warlock can raise himself some Grundy's if he wants, and with Grundy's being magical...
Brainiac invading Apokolips? That seems so obvious in retrospect that I'm sure many people are slapping their heads that they hadn't thought of it before.
Although I do remember reading a Marvel/DC crossover where Galactus tried to eat Apokolips. It was not nearly so awesome as you might think.
(Also: Kobra? How would that guy destroy New Genesis?)
That was in fact the ending. Galactus finally beat all of Darkseid's forces and was about to start consuming Apokolips, only to find that he would gain no nourishment from it. It basically meant the entire comic was pointless, and Darkseid knew it.
Well this is in the same continuity as the diniverse Justice League cartoon (I assume) so Brainiac has already invaded Apokalips before in this continuity.
Short version is that Starro was one of the creatures the Collector had captured that Superman inherited when he and Lobo defeated him. One day it attached itself to Supes, and its implied it had been controlling him for years.
Cut to Batman Beyond times, When Superman invites Terry to join the JLU, during a time when someone is attempting to kill off members, Cue Terry stumbling on Superman's possession and the fact he has been breeding dozens of Starro's to possess everyone on Earth.
Cue fight between Batman and mind controlled Justice League, when its all done and everyone is freed, Aquagirl discovers their origin with telepathy, and Barda uses a boom tube to send them back to their home planet.
You know, I had Nightmaster and Nightshade confused, but now I don't see a Ystina resemblance anymore. Plus, last I checked, portraying Ystina as strictly female would be erasure, as I believe she's intersexed, and I doubt Christos Gage would do that.
Everything in the issue was a little too rushed, wasn't it? And I swear, in the other story, I think Man-Bat was talking with the voice of Keith David...
A little off topic, but does anyone else think that the Batman Beyond future should have at least one or two aliens out there neither living in secret nor a superhero? Some foreign exchange student or something?
