Time to post some Rude pictures of Wonder Woman!

"What's this?" I hear you say... "Icon_UK posting rude pictures? Of Wonder Woman no less? On Scans_Daily? Has he gone insane?"

Well, I can't speak to the accuracy of that last part but I should make it clear, I didn't say rude pictures...


I confess that this is taken entirely from a tumblr post I scrolled past this morning and just found myself staring at because it was just so... perfect.

The third-to-last image demonstrates the lesser-known relative to the boobs and butt pose: the lats and crotch stance. :P

He's apparently had problems with depression over the years. He's probably still best known for Nexus, a series that he created with Mike Baron over thirty years ago. His most recent work of note would probably have been Dollar Bill for the Before Watchmen series.

I've heard of Rude once before. Didn't he draw Dave Gibbons' Superman/Batman mini back in the 90's?

Incidentally, is that worth picking up?

He did indeed, but is better known for being part of the creative team (with Mike Baron) of Nexus in the 1980's. He also drew The Moth series in 2006.

Is that Moth series worth tracking down at all? I got the FCBD issue a few years ago and aside from the art the story seemed pretty charming, but I never found more of it.

It's got a very light, retro tone, so if you're into that it's a fun read. It is quite short though, so maybe bear that in mind price-wise.

So Diana can talk to animals, and that golden retriever's paw is on the Lasso of Truth. I can imagine Diana hearing this:

"I said I was just being affectionate, but actually I wanna kill that $#@*! cat. Also, I'm going to hump your leg now."

Sadly, she's probably had to deal with similar from humans who've accidentally touched the lasso. I imagine there's an anecdote involving Green Arrow which neither of them likes to bring up again.
