I really hate being Gotham-centric, but...I really love these guys.








Gotham City Sirens was admittedly one of those books that had so much potential to be something good (especially considering where each of these women were by this point in their narratives), but was sadly squandered on weak storytelling and lazy characterisation. And now? These three ladies are even less recognisable/likeable since getting rebooted. :(

Also, I just realised that the 'Secret Six' here is really the 'Secret Five.' Who again was Member #6 in this series? Someone refresh my memory...

The original sixth members were Scandal Savage, Ragdoll, a Parademon who'd got stuckon Earth, Catman, Deadshot and Cheshire. Another member the Fiddler was killed by Deadshot on the orders of mysterious team leader Mockingbird (Who turned out to be Lex Luthor)... I think Catman was his replacement.

Members came and went, including Cheshire after she betrayed them, Parademon after he was killed and Knock-Out, Scandal's lover (and another Apokalips escapee), also joined up and died...

They have a LOT of turnover in a couple of their membership slots.

Yeah, I get that the members frequently changed--Harley Quinn was the sixth member at one point. I was just wondering if there ever was a permanent sixth member for *this* iteration of the series.

This version? IIRC that would be Jeanette, the banshee.

Black Alice, Banshee, Parademon, Mad Hatter and King Shark were all members of the secret 6-8 at times. I think this might have been just before Black Alice joined and after Parade mon died and Hatter was kicked out (though that was in Villains United iirc)

I'm sorry for pointing out your typo but I just love the idea of Parade Mon, some kind of parade-themed villain from the Caribbean (or Ireland, depending on how you read the accent.)

Sirens was okay while Dini was at the helm I thought... not Fantastic, but enjoyable, but after he left it became an unmitigated mess.

Also there was that time where Ivy said she'd never know love again and Harley was right there... don't say those things in front of her D:
