Marvel Zombies: Dead Days

Dead Days was a double-sized one-shot that served as a prequel to the 'Marvel Zombies' saga showing the events that occurred before the Ultimate Fantastic Four storyline.

Again, expect lots of zombie-related gore.

The story opens with Spider-Man returning home after being bitten by Colonel America.











Nick Fury manages to get all of the remaining survivors on board the Helicarrier. The plan is to find other survivors while Reed Richards, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner work on a cure.



Tony Stark realizes that even if a cure was possible, actually fixing the situation would be close to impossible. As such, he begins to work on a machine that can locate alternate dimensions, the plan being to find one to move onto.





While Tony and Nick Fury go over the dimension device, the Fantastic Four break through.





Inside, Nick Fury realizes they can't use the device lest they bring the plague with them.

I really don't see how this stretched out to four or five different miniseries - there just doesn't really seem to be much mileage behind 'everyone turns into a zombie, immediately loses their characterisation to be dicks instead'.

Well it is pretty funny in a very dark way imo and I don't necessarily lose their characterization completely. I mean taking into consideration that he's a zombie Spider-Man is still neurotic and plagued with guilt.

To be fair, some of the other mini series were using different universes.
