Or... hm, how about, someone wants to transfer youth to someone else (let's say there's a couple 10 years apart in age). He moves it over, but keeps a little.

If it works with animals he can just find an immortal jellyfish and use that. Somehow I don't think we'll get the less angsty version, though.

If he goes around to farmers, he can rapid-grow livestock from birth/eggs to slaughtering age with minimal cruelty. Arguably, a chicken instantly aged from an egg would be barely conscious (even by chicken standards).

And if it works with plants, he's Demeter.

But as he *absorbs* the age, there's a limit, he has to de-age things too.

Fortunately, that's the easy side. Even if there weren't millions of people who wanted their youth back, he could de-age members of endangered species, aged trees that were about to fall, hens that were too old to lay anymore. (It's all about the chickens, see.)

He could also provide the most effortless late-term abortions ever.

I like that they didn't make him evil. Far too often comics instantly assume that only terrible people would get powers that have an immediately obvious negative effect like that.
