Well, when it's not defaulting to the "And Then Another Bad Thing Happened!" tendencies that the premise expects it to be, it's actually done well, with great character beats and a well of unexpectedly unexplored plots...for instance, Bruce just asked Barry why he hasn't traveled back to fix the everything.

Indeed, there's pleasant surprises! Like, say, having Captain Cold running a bar that has Flash show up ^^

This 'year' has been going on longer than the previous ones, I think. Looks like their own inertia is on the run with them this time out. Between the Titans being in the phantom zone, the green lanterns on the loose with their rings, and about a dozen other wild ends out there, year 6 will probably be bigger yet.
