It occured to me that it's been a long while since I posted one of these, so that's all the excuse I really need.
I might do a Fanart Thursday soon too, because why not, but....
First some some terrific sketchcards from Irma Ahmed, aka aimo, whose work I can thoroughtly recommend.
The Team Supreme, Warlock and Cypher, leap into action...

Next, my two favourite acrobatic heroes, Kurt “I’m not Errol Flynn, but I’m an Errol Flynn character” Wagner and Dick ”I’m not Burt Lancaster in The Crimson Pirate but… oh who am I kidding, I’m TOTALLY Burt Lancaster in The Crimson Pirate” Grayson…
Why are they dressed as pirates? I think the better question is why arent they ALWAYS dressed as pirates! :D

Given his expression in this next one, I think it’s safe to assume that those ropes aren’t quite as tight as the bad guys think they are, and Dick is about to enjoy himself at their expense.
(either that or it’s a rueful grin as Batman finally tracks down his missing partner and it’s an “Oh…. Hi Dad!” moment Batfamily-style)

And for those of a less an unfettered Boy Wonder, happily out on patrol....

These next two are based on a longheld little mental image, Now this was an idea I had a notion of years and years ago… but it’s one that appears to have been a common enough fanfic theme for even longer; What if Luke and Leia had each gone to the OTHER adoptive family. So we’d have Leia Skywalker growing up on Tattooine, and Prince Luke Organa of Alderaan.
It’s easy enough to imagine some of the differences between the two timelines. Given her nature I would imagine Leia would have been even more determined to get off Tattooine than her brother, and would probably have been interviewing replacements to take over from her on the farm, so she could go to Imperial Command School (Leia being more of a leader than a flier) ) from the age of about ten.
Luke would have grown up as the beloved “First son” of Alderaan. Whilst not the organisational strategist that his sister is (I can’t quite imagine Luke organising the Rebellion the way Leia did) i could see him being the figurehead and poster boy for them Plus speaking out against the Empire would be something he WOULD do, folllowing in the footsteps of his parents, but without perhaps their legendary tact and political sensitivity. Oh, and he would be the Rebellions TOP pilot, since as a Prince, he’d have had far more access to flight training than a farmboy on Tatooine would.
You can make your own headcanon about how things progressed (Leia training as the Jedi instead of Luke for example), but I was blessed to find that Irma Ahmed had already had her own ideas about this.

Now, if you’ve been following me for any length of time, you probably know the way my mind works, so you might have already deduced what scene I was envisaging with Luke replacing Leia…. Yeah…. THAT one, and Irma, not to put too fine a point on it, knocked it out of the bloody park!

And for those who like their pretty beefcake without the slug in the background this one is perhaps even better!

And to finish, dragging our minds out of the gutter, regardless of how pretty a gutter it is, at the other end of the scale is this charming little Robin from Dean Trippe
