I am horribly amused at the idea of Dr. Strange bestowing such power on The Punisher. In terms of bad ideas, it's pretty high up there.

Yeah. Come to think of it, wouldn't it be impossible for Castle to use the Eye of Agamotto even under Strange's guidance? When he pulled a similar possession trick with Morgana Blessing it wouldn't work for her due to lack of spiritual purity. I think if a flirty journalist falls short, a murder-happy vigilante who never met a crook he wouldn't gun down would too.

Interesting ethical question, sort of mirroring a discussion I was having about the Punisher on another forum yesterday.

His spirit is pure, from (as a certain Jedi put it) a certain point of view. He's never denied his actions, even to himself, he is always entirely open and honest about his mission and his intentions. He's a killer certainly but has never preteneded to be anything else.

What he's not is GOOD, but I'm not sure the Eye cares about that part of your alignment.
