The best stories are like that. It's a difficult balance. On the one end are things like Firefly, and on the other, things like The Simpsons.

Hopefully we will get more, but it may not be in this particular form.

I assume the woman with the ponytail is René Montoya? No idea about the guy in the red bandana, though I'm fairly certain he's not Todd Rice/Obsidian.

No, those two are Marina and Tony. They're original supporting characters Orlando created for his Midnighter run.

Though that's not the most graphic scene I've seen from the series.

I loved this mini so, so much. I just hope maybe we get another one soon.
