I kinda like Lobo as a more stable character over the more wild and fucked up black comedy persona you see in his solo comics.

Agreed. The crazy Lobo schtick got old pretty fast for me. I could handle the occasional one shot or limited series back in the day because by the time the new one came out you were ready for it. But the ongoing wore on me.
