I recently went down a rabbit hole about the fabulous, foul-mouthed Thori. and since my dog can also be a yelling arsehole...


It's Yuletide, hooray! Elsewhere in the issue we see Midgard's holiday celebrations. Meanwhile, in Asgardia, Kid Loki gets an unexpected and noisy package that comes with a note.


the puppies are...energetic. Loki checks in with Mom, and she gives him his marching orders.


okay, rehoming them shouldn't be too hard for a clever, smooth talking guy...




but the seventh dog, the loudmouth with the attitude who takes after his father, he's harder to place.


all of the adults and even good 'ol Ikol are telling him that boy is inherently no good, so he reluctantly heads off to put him down.


yeah, he loves that name.

And Thori went on to be captured by the Collector in Unworthy Thor, so there's at least one being in the galaxy that wants him!

...in retrospect, once he was down to one, clearly different from the rest, he could have gone straight to the Collector.

But trying to redeem the trouble child that nobody wants was very much in his line at the time.

I skipped sharing the pages that emphasized the dog as metaphor in favor of more yelling Thori. I love his dialog.

I don't think we ever did find out what happened to Warlock's Hel-pup, but I know he kept it a secret from the rest of the team for as long as possible.

Oh, the hi-jinks we could have had.
