The first part is here. (2 and a half pages from Nexus 6, 7 pages from Nexus 7)
They land. Again, normal physics seems like it ought to kill them.

Nexus the bookworm is useless, but Jonah used to own a Junior Woodchuck manual, which makes him at home in the wilderness. They are attacked by native fauna at their campsite. Judah kills the animals handily, Nexus struggles, managing to stab the thing. Worth noting that this is the first time Nexus has killed with his bare hands.
'Bellows' is a former opponent that nearly killed Nexus.

...They don't fight.

Badger relates that he was teleported here because he attacked his boss (Ham the Weather Wizard) who was sacrificing a dog.

JUST! THEN! A strange being accosts the three of them.

My favorite part: the way Badger and Judah look at Nexus sidelong. And the way Nexus doesn't say anything at all.
A long time passes. Badger gets scruffy. Nexus uses his glimmer of power to stay clean-shaven.

Badger makes a lot of unattributed quotations. "Millions for defense" is a quote from the head of the Packard motor company in response to Henry Ford's offer to bribe the Barbary pirates.
Fortunately, the entity behind the guns is an aircraft dealer. He sells them a battlewagon. They are immediately accosted by police forces.

They are confronted by hostile craft even underwater. Pursuit is unending.

Pursuit peels off as they approach the border to the hand to hand zone. Upon seeing the ring of crashed wreckage, they realize they have to abandon their ship. They jump, it crashes against the invisible barrier. Unfortunately, Judah's sword seems stuck in the barrier.

I had to cut the entire hand to hand zone to keep under the rules. Though it has nice Badger bits, the plot is more important to the Ring of Philosophy.
