Jisa falls for a bad boy named Laolo. Laolo turns out to be unfaithful and Jisa later discovers that she's pregnant. He wants her to get an abortion and her family ends up disowning her over it. She later runs into the bouncer from before.
Love this one. I still don't know if Nata and Jisa are implied to be become a couple or if it's just me having my shipping goggles on too tight, though?
I thought so, but, when I went to read to summary for this issue on UXN, I found no mention of it whatsoever, only Jisa's past love for Laolo, and I was so confused, I didn't know if I was inventing the whole thing or not.
I think it's pretty obvious and certainly very strongly implied that they're a couple (or are about to be, now that Jisa figured out what Nata already knew). Renata isn't pushing her into a relationship, she's letting it happen, at least that's how I read it.
Is this the actual end of the story? Renata fighting and...scene? I guess it's implied she'll fight on and leaves it at that.
Also: I know I complained about it before but it's still very distracting for me: if every character is speaking non-English here (like in the other comics) then drop the bracket signs in spoken dialgoue...especially if you're not doing it in the thought boxes. It's just bad form (he says, yelling at a decade-old editorial decision).
Yeah this is the last page of the issue. The cliffhanger was a bit of a turn-off for me but I guess given that they've gone to lengths to show that she has super strength with hardened skin and bones that are as hard as steel she probably made it.
