He awoke in her New York, out of a demon tempting and into her appealing as she had before.
" I see a power in you that perhaps you do not fully see yourself.
" A power whose limits you have not fully discovered.
" Channel it in the proper direction, Peter-
" And you could rule the world! "
" Really?
" Uh.. how do you know I haven't already? "

(He'd woken up in bed with her.)

The man lashed out at him.
Peter swept him aside, into another oncoming.
Then a third struck him from behind: " Evila? "
Others massed.
Peter ran from the swarming thralls.

He was surprised.

He was pulled aside.

He appeared in the apartment of his personal assistant.

(He cleared up the " seemingly died fighting a dragon mech " thing with her before this.)

He knew that his secret - his having created a dragon to threaten the world, to unify it against a common enemy, and then staging its defeat at his heroic hands to accelerate the process - was all but out.
He made his way back to Aida's.
He was confronted by angry dogs, which he subdued.
" My apologies..
" You should be up and growling in a few hours. "

She stood before him.
