This one's the only one done by a "veteran" superhero writer, right? It definitely reads like it - it's nothing I can put my finger on, but it just feels intrinsically different from the other three, somehow.
DeMatties has a long history of doing this kind of material and certainly was a veteran comics writer by this point. Visually the art recalls his series Moonshadow, which was the first comic featuring all painted art, iirc.
He wasn't the only one who was a comics veteran, though: Marshall Rogers worked a lot in the 1970s.
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
