A lot of X-media has Mister Sinister working as a stooge for Apocalypse. When did that start? Age of Apocalypse?

I think it was one of the Cyclops & Phoenix mini-series that established that Essex was transformed by Apocalypse to become Mister Sinister.

Apocalypse wanted a new servant but Essex rebeled ? or was it Cyke and Phoenix who interfered? (It's been a LONG time since I read it. Now if I could just find it again...)

So is the schoolgirl with the horns supposed to be Ultimate Marrow?

I gotta say, aside from the fact she was murdered by Sinister, I think she got off better than the 616 version if that's the case.

It looks like.... Marrow, Synch, Maggott and... Masque?

I think maybe the fourth one is supposed to be a generic Morlock, there were a lot of them after all (And of course its appropriate, since Mr. Sinister wiped out the Morlocks in the main universe as well).

And yeah, the second kid is obviously Synch, but the third guy being Maggot I blanked on (I knew they looked familiar I just couldn't place them).
