With the theme being “evil Batman that are also other characters,” I guess making an evil Batman who is also Robin makes sense

I'm not even sure why this is a Robin metatextually. You could replace the robin aesthetic with bats and this story would read identically / better.

I mean I guess this Bruce is a kid but so is Dawnbreaker.

Characters who are oh-so-evil from the get-go have a steep climb to be proper interesting, even if they're also Batman.

That said, I do actually like the cover art up there. The Batman Who Laughs's mask might be wildly impractical, but it would fit perfectly as a boss in some sort of dark fantasy game, and the Robin King looks like he has the very best costume at Youth Night at the Goth Club.

Once again, Riley Rossmo's stylish, energetic art is cruelly lashed to the least interesting Metal tie-in.

Planning to die mad that Robin King is just an evil little boy, when I'd really been hoping that he'd be a horrible ratking but made of Boy Wonders.

There's at least the fun of " Jokerified Batman is interested in the Bruce Wayne who achieved this level of insanity without having any Joker in him at all ".

I was hoping he'd at least be a damn Robin, and not another Bruce Wayne. We already had an evil brat Batman with the Dawnbreaker, and he was the one everyone liked the least.
