#2'd ended on the kaiju danger forecast for Florida - one, the Gamera-like Mujara - doubling in reality.
Inside the museum they'd come to rob while it was mostly evacuated, Marco and his crew processed this turn.
Marco spelled out how much worse things'd become: " This is the scenario San Diego saw, and they're still putting parts of that city back together.
" And I can tell by their tails that Mujara and Ikattu have begun textbook posturing behavior. "

Marco expounded.

Marco turned on Pierson, who shrugged him off.
Palmeiro went off with Marco to discuss the wire plan, leaving Pierson alone with Gina the safecracker.
The improvised plan swapped those pairings - Palmeiro and Pierson were the ones setting up the cables, and laying out the contents of that second barrel.
(" .. it's mullet fish chum. " Palmeiro explained to Pierson. " And, according to Marco, Mujara can't resist it. Especially if she's getting ready for a fight. ")
They (and the observing Marco, and the waiting Gina) heard a booming.
" Mujara's moving. " said Marco.
Mujara moved, towards the strung-up wires - and then turned aside.
" She's going the wrong way. " Gina observed.
Marco's response was to jump onto one of the four-wheelers and drive right up to Mujara.
" Stop!
" Hey! Stop, will ya?! "
Mujara stopped - and, incredibly, lowered herself to Marco's level.

Mujara rose.

The cables held.. and pulled.

Palmeiro cheered: " Oh, my god. It worked! "
He turned to Pierson - and got a knife in his stomach.
" Why - why'd you.. "
Pierson answered: " .. so that I only have to deal with two assholes when I steal the money. "
He continued into why he was going to do that - he knew that " babysitting " the crews of the jobs " Blackie " Mendoza financed wasn't a safe long-term prospect for him.
" See, everyone knows about the Dante score, but here's the part they forget:

The mullet fish chum soaked Palmeiro.

Over Pierson's head, Ikattu faced Mujara.
