Goodness, this is a nice story.

I kind of hate how the only Superman comics I can ever recommend to newer readers are the ones that are out-of-continuity/origin stories like this one, All-Star Superman, For All Seasons, American Son, or Secret Identity.

The Johns run on Action Comics was pretty good but man...that's only one "continuity" run out of 35 years of post-Crisis Superman stories.

Ah well -- thanks for sharing OP.
