He needed Shi'ar data technology to have storage space for minds. So the backup part of Cerebro wasn't online untill after Lilandra was back on her throne.

Sway, Petra, and Changeling all died before Charles even met Lillandra, but you can handwave that Xavier made copes of just his allies before getting Shi'ar tech.

Though really, the timeline is meaningless. Amahl Farouk died when Storm was a child, but now he's alive and offering children candy from his windowless van.

I can't imagine Shaw's reunion with Lourdes would go well, though. She was murdered by robots and her boyfriend's reaction was "hey, this is a great product, I should sell these". That's going to be awkward.

Amahl Farouk died when Storm was a child.

I was never clear if the Shadow King was "really" Amahl Farouk or "just" the evil psychic entity who possessed Farouk. And as with so many things, I'm not sure the writers cared.
