The Kingpin killed Matt's imaginary-turned-real-brother Mike Murdock, who was pretending to be Matt at the time. As such, everyone believes Matt Murdock to be dead.





He says if Matt set Mike up for his death he's going to find him and make what Fisk did to Mike look like a bruise.

They just leave a body who people in the know would think to be Daredevil's in a regular graveyard? If the McGuffin there at the end wasn't going to resurrect him then it'd take Hand like two hours to dig him up and start their own resurrection process.

I don’t think anyone outside of a select few know at this point. Kingpin only rediscovered it.

Not sure of that, most parts of Hand's not exactly high tech so there probably isn't an instant notice going out to every member.

Daredevil is still running around and he’s taking on the Hand so they’ll probably figure it out if they haven’t yet. Regardless if the Hand/the Beast are all-knowing enough to know that Matt is Daredevil but not enough to know Mike isn’t Matt then they just wasted their resources on resurrecting a normal guy with no powers or abilities that would be if use to them.
