She Hulk #9

Last time out in She Hulk #8, Jen met a couple that I'm going to call The Designers. It had probably my favourite page of the year

And this week, Jen comes face to face with something far more sinister





Didn't see this coming. At all. No idea what comes next (hopefully a consistent and regular schedule, considering that #10 is solicited for January and February)

Nice to see Jen's fourth-wall breaking making a comeback. Curious to see where this leads here, as it is intrinsically different from the way Byrne used it.

Has Jen ever had real interaction with Deadpool about breaking the fourth wall? They both do it, but in different ways.

I remember Wade talking to her about it when she was Savage She-Hulk in the Avengers, asking her why she didn't do it anymore, I wanna say?

I think he was moreso asking why she wasn’t fun anymore and she was like “gruff, this is who I really am” in a not so subtly pointed dig at the detractors who didn’t like her development in that book. I believe informationgeek made a wonderful article about that issue (presuming we’re both thinking of the same thing here).

Jen stopped around the same time Wade started breaking the fourth wall. They have teamed up, but they haven't done meta jokes together.

TBF, Jen is more analagous to Gwen Poole than Wade Wilson

I like this, an antagonistic fourth wall break is wonderful when done correctly, and horrible when it's badly written (Looking at you, Mark Millar).

I don't know why Mrs. Booth was upset with her transformation. She gained Leader's powers, without the green skin and now she has Brains and Brawn.

I think it was more the issues with her husband's and that it didn't go EXACTLY as perfectly as she insisted it would go because she seems the type NOT to accept she might have made a mistake.
