'I've often compared what Brandon [Graham] is doing with Prophet to the acclaimed Swamp Thing arc, the "Anatomy Lesson" by Alan Moore, it's that revolutionary in what he's doing. Alan Moore expanded the IDEA of Swamp Thing and that's what Brandon has done with Prophet, he's expanded the IDEA and in doing so, created a ridiculous amount of new possibilities.' -- Rob Liefeld

"Brandon [Graham] came back with this vision that stirs my Kubrick, Ridley Scott, Moebius, Robert E. Howard cocktail and I was just blown away. It's decidedly R rated, intelligent, the designs are fantastic and beyond anything I could have imagined. When people talk about someone 'over-delivering' on a project, I'll always think of what Brandon has given to Prophet." -- Rob Liefeld

"Fans who have fallen away from the moronic depiction of Deadpool that has been presented of late will find Bloodstrike more their liking. This is modern, rogue, mercenary action-adventure. Tons of great concepts, as well. Tim Seeley put his Grant Morrison hat on and has some great big ideas." -- Rob Liefeld

Liefeld has announced that he's restarting Extreme Studios and relaunching a bunch of his old characters in new titles. First he'll be turning into comics those unpublished Alan Moore scripts for Supreme and Youngblood that he's been sitting on all these years. After that he'll be moving onto new material. "Youngblood" will be by one of the screenwriters for the Aranofsky flick "Black Swan." More here.

With the 10th issue of Prophet done, the title was relaunched with Chuck Dixon as the writer and Mr Platt back on art duties.

It didn't take too long before some fill-in art was needed though, and by the 4th issue it was apparent that even when Platt was pencilling he wasn't putting as much effort into the layouts or the panel "details" themselves.

Last time - http://scans-daily.dreamwidth.org/1842318.html

In 1994 Platt's run on Prophet began - this is early Image, so most titles were written by artist-turned-writer folk or friends of the founders with limited writing experience.

The entire Prophet series (1st volume) was written by Rob Liefeld (later with assistance from Robert Napton).

22 large scans from Prophet issues 5, 6 and 8 under the cut.
