Sep. 20th, 2019 10:17 amleahandillyanaThe original cartoon never said anything about Lotor's mother. Robotech/Voltron crossover comic fills in the gap, giving her face, name and a reason for marrying Zarkon. Unfortunately, not much more than this, but it also gives some disturbing implication to Lotor's interest in Allura, here however portrayed as a honest crush, somewhat enobling the character. The series also introduces an item later reintroduced in Voltron Legendary Defender, fueling the events of middle third of the cartoon. Trigger warning for graphic character death.
