So, Captivate 2010.
US Okamiden (Okami, but on DS! and Chibiterasu!), Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, Dead Rising 2 info...
MvC 3: Fate of Two Worlds coming this Spring 2011, to PS3 and 360... so, downloadable then?
Also, some character art to start the speculatan...
Oh, and the legality scan... well, speaking of many worlds, proof that the multiverse is truly infinite from Excalibur 49, courtesy of a mad Sorcerer Supreme:

At the very least, this explains that one Mikel Midnight fanfic.
And I'm loving Iron Fist's completely ineffectual head punch.

I'm so pumped for this game . I'm a huge fighting game fan and the vs. series is one of my all-time favorites.I REALLLY hope Cyclops makes it in the game. I loved what Capcom did with him in past games.
Also, I still find it strange that there isn't any sign of Spider-man anywhere.

Date: 2010-04-20 05:07 pm (UTC)I am quite excited for this but disappointed Capcom hasn't tried to negotiate for a real prize. Tatsunoko vs. Marvel, anime characters vs comic book characters. No geek, gamer or otaku would not buy a copy, it essentially becomes a license to print money for all three parties.

"It's important that game's have strong stories for Marvel," Baker said. "With fighting games it's not as essential as an action game or role playing game but we are very much insisting there be some cohesive kind of story for this game."
No! Don't do it! A storyline is what killed Mortal Kombat vs DCU. None of Capcom's other Vs. fighters had one and this just smells like a bad idea.

Date: 2010-04-20 05:52 pm (UTC)The storyline was silly, but it reveled in that silliness and turned it into a kind of bizarre strength. If Capcom is sensible enough to do the same thing here, it'll work out.

Date: 2010-04-20 05:55 pm (UTC)For Marvel
*MODOK
*Squirrel Girl
*Rocket Raccoon
*Fin Fang Foom
*Arnim Zola
*Nextwave
*Howard the Duck
*Anarchist from X-Statix
For Capcom
*Maximo
*Samonosuke from Onimusha
*Jean Reno from Onimusha 3 (not that I've gotten to play it but come on it is Jean Reno)
*Little Nemo
Because if Shuma-Gorath can make the cut anybody can.
TOTALLY GETTING THIS
Date: 2010-04-20 06:46 pm (UTC)Hawkeye (Clint, not Kate)
Molly Hayes from Runaways
Shadowcat
Namor (he doesn't get representation)
I mean, in M vs. C 2 had TWO Wolverines (seriously, that was unfair right there), they can ditch the bone-claws one and go bring in a Marvel character that hasn't been used yet.
Re: TOTALLY GETTING THIS
Date: 2010-04-20 07:02 pm (UTC)To determine whether your favorite character's going to be in the game or not, you need to ask yourself a very simple question: could you come up with a fighting-game move set for them that doesn't already involve the stuff that the Hulk is going to be able to do? What does Namor, as a flying brick, bring to the table that the Hulk doesn't?
Re: TOTALLY GETTING THIS
Date: 2010-04-20 07:46 pm (UTC)Namor brings Giganto to the table.
Re: TOTALLY GETTING THIS
Date: 2010-04-20 08:01 pm (UTC)Re: TOTALLY GETTING THIS
Date: 2010-04-20 07:58 pm (UTC)Technically, Molly Hayes and Namor would have the same powersets of super-strength and invulnerability. Still, it would be cool.
Shadowcat and Hawkeye I could see both being unique, although Shadowcats phasing ability would definitely cause a few gamers to call her a "cheese" character and broken. Hawkeye however could have an interesting moveset using bows and arrows.
Any ideas on if Thor would be different from Storm?
Re: TOTALLY GETTING THIS
Date: 2010-04-20 08:16 pm (UTC)Storm tends to be in fighting games and Thor doesn't. Since Thor is more prone to hauling off and decking people, I'd imagine he'd be more of a brawler with some pyrotechnics involved.
Re: TOTALLY GETTING THIS
Date: 2010-04-20 08:30 pm (UTC)Namor would be harder. You might be able to make a striker/assist based movelist for him but that'd be a bit of a stretch and out of character.
I'd say Kate's Hawkeye would make better fighter then Clint since she has more obvious meele skills that wouldn't look as improvised when translated into the game. Either way they'd be ranged based characters that will be labled as spam and cheese.
Re: TOTALLY GETTING THIS
Date: 2010-04-20 11:08 pm (UTC)A little strange and very unlikely, but I'd actually like seeing them more than Molly.

Date: 2010-04-21 04:59 am (UTC)...who has an impossibly long (like fifteen to twenty steps) and difficult combo that sees her back off, belt out a "CHRRT CHEET CUK CUK CUK!", and then have the Squirrel Army stampede through, blotting out the entire screen--including the HUD interface graphics--before leaving the opponent out cold from an unblockable automatic one-hit KO.
Thus satisfying both the people who think she should be invincible, and the people who think she should be slaughtered by anyone more powerful than your average mugger.
