I was pondering what to post for Death Week after the "Death of Cypher" post... I did consider reposting the "How Many Ways Can a Robin Die", but it's already in the archives and then
sherkahn posted a link to it anyway (Thanks for that by the way). I have no desire to post "A Death in the Family" as I loathe the story, and what kind of a story would it be about killing a kid in cold blood, and then that concept struck a chord.
Now as luck would have it, I recently purchased "The Robin Archives Volume 2", which collects Robins sort-of-solo stories from "Star Spangled Comics" from the late 1940's. It's a wonderful, cracktacular volume which I can thoroughly recommend to any fans of Mr Graysons early career or just genera Golden Age nuttiness..
Case in point, we have, from July 1949, Star Spangled Comics 94 where the first page features a villain who has clearly forseen the concept of www.eviloverlord.com
( Not terribly inventive, but effective. )4 pages from a 12 page story.
series: death week, char: robin/nightwing/dick grayson, char: batman/bruce wayne ,creator: jim mooney (The credits for these stories are a little ropey, but it's a good bet this is Jim Mooney's work.
