In the comments to these weekly posts (and only these posts), it's your chance to go as off topic as you like.

Talk about non-comics stuff, thread derail, and just generally chat among yourselves.

The intent of these posts is to chat and have some fun and, sure, vent a little as required. Reasoned debate is fine, as always, but if you have to ask if something is going over the line, think carefully before posting please.

Normal board rules about conduct and behaviour still apply, of course.

It's been suggested that, if discussing spoilers for recent media events, it might be advisable to consider using the rot13 method to prevent other members seeing spoilers in passing.

The world situation is the world situation. If you're following the news, you know it as much as I do, if you're not, then there are better sources than me.

Two new clips from The Sandman has been released, one showing Kirby Howell Baptiste as Death and the other showing Gwendoline Christie's Lucifer meetingm Morpheus.

David Warner passed away yesterday aged 80, a face and a voice that had graced pretty much every genre for decades. From Jack the Ripper in "Time after Time", to Sark in "Tron", Gul Madred in the memorable ST:TNG episodes "Chain of Command", Evil in "Time Bandits", as well as being the perfect voice for Ra's Al Ghul in "Batman the Animated Series". More recently he brought his whimsical yet wiorld weary tones to the voice of an alternate Doctor in Big Finish's audio drama's and Christopher Eccleston has credited the opportunity to work with one of his long time heroes (personally and professionally) as being the reason he's joining in with the Big Finish 60th Anniversary event for next year, so hopefully the recording has already been completed for Mr Warner's part.

Another busy day, so another early posting as not sure when I'll next have a window of opportunity.

With all these big villains, off trying to create multiverses, conquer the world, destroy Gotham City, all that good stuff, it's nice that DC still has room for the 'regular' criminals, those who turn their fantastic powers to the goal of smashing open a jewelry store and making off with the proceeds.

Last month's DC Pride special gave us the return of Micro and Macro, small-time crooks who made one previous appearance almost fifteen years ago.

They're back, baby! )
